Transmission communication methods:

 Infrared (IR): 36KHz to 56KHz, 455KHz, or Custom IR

Radio Frequency (RF): 27MHz, 433MHz, 2.4GHz, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Custom or Proprietary

Wired: RS232, USB, TTL, custom cables and connectors

 Multiple IR Protocol Infrared Remote-Receiver Pairs Available: NEC, Sony, RC5, Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Matsushita IR formats. You can select unique device ID numbers in one remote to create custom, unique IR codes. Great for small, large volume or custom OEM applications.
